Planting the iLRN Core
Immersive learning spans research, practice, design, and the arts. iLRN exists to help these communities connect and co-create impact. With limited resources but strong projects underway (3D Book Club, iLRN2026 Organizing Committee, XR initiatives), we need a lean operating core to balance growth and coordination.
1. PurposeDraft a Network Codex Mission Statement in BookStack, defining its role as iLRN’s operating core—a documentation hub, gallery, and co-creation space—with audience tiers (Board, Directors, Volunteers, Public).
2. ArchitectureUse Stacks for domains (Operations, Events, XR Spaces, Publications), Books for systems/projects (Virtual Campus, Cvent, Stripe), Chapters for process areas, and Pages for living documents (e.g., SOPs, Knowledge Tree overview).
3. TemplatesDevelop reusable formats for SOPs, Project Briefs, and Event Run-of-Show docs, seeded with examples for consistency.
4. Pilot & EngagementLoad 5–7 key documents and test editing with a small team (CIO + contributors), exploring versioning and collaboration.
5. GovernanceSet roles (Admins, Editors, Readers), define contribution protocols, and trial a public-facing “Gallery Showcase.”
6. IterationAfter 2–3 weeks, assess collaboration, friction points, and refine before scaling.
This phased approach provides iLRN with a practical, scalable foundation for knowledge stewardship, volunteer coordination, and global engagement.
