# Scientific Quality and Scholarly Standards

The **Professional Standards & Measures** shelf gathers the evolving frameworks, guidelines, and evaluative practices that anchor immersive learning as a recognized, rigorous discipline. It is a place where iLRN and its partners articulate shared definitions of quality, accountability, and professional identity in immersive learning.

This shelf both codifies **what counts as high-quality immersive learning practice** and connects iLRN’s work to external bodies (IEEE, IBSTPI, AECT, ISPI, etc.), ensuring our community’s contributions are aligned with broader global professional ecosystems. It also provides continuity across our own initiatives — from the Knowledge Tree and Circle of Scholars, to conference peer review, to emerging accreditation pathways.
